Collecting vs. Hoarding

Is there a difference between collecting and hoarding? Hoarding is a compulsive disease that limits a person's ability to function successfully in life. Hoarding is a failure to get rid of personal possessions. Collecting is being organized and knowing where an object is. Hoarding is just one big mess of things. They have no meaning and will soon be barried by more meaningless objects. Collecting is a hobby that could bring you comfort and happiness. You can collect many things that have meaning to you but there is a point where it becomes too much. Karsten Bott is an artist that wishes to collect "one of everything". He feels as though it is collecting whereas I see it as hoarding. One of everything seems simply impossible. I feel as though anyone could buy a ware house and full it with junk. Below is a picture of a collection and of a hoarders mess. Which one do you believe is which?
